Yea while watching the first half of the video I was wondering how do you sterilize a plant that grows in open air, bleach doesn't sterilize it cant kill bacterial spores.

I have to say this is the video that woke me up to this❤. I'd seen so many tissue culture videos on FUNGI, not with plants, at least by how I was searching. My first experience with it was really at Disney World, the place known as pleasure island, had some really cool stores and they sold sequoia trees in testtubes. and of course they were adorably tiny in there and I wanted to buy one, but I was afraid I'd kill it as I didn't know sooo much at 15 years. I think you're channel is a gem and your vocal delivery has a jovial personality that brings an inner child to life within me as I watch and learn from you. When you do the replicating step. How long can a plant stay in there before you are forced to do something with it?? Just wondering how often work needs to be done while rotating a catalog of plants over long period of time.

Do you find those polypropylene pots crumple in the autoclave ? The company selling them advises against sterilising with the media in them

When I first learned how to do this I had the biggest nerdiest smile on my face thinking about how I could use this method. I don’t have the equipment since it was the companies equipment and I wasn’t really looking because of how expensive it typically is for their methods. Though seeing your video makes me want to get back into it and buy the stuff for my own garden.

amazing video!! one question, 5ml of h2o2 and 45ml of water gives 0,3% of final solution, that is not very weak to sterilize? usualy I like to use 1% solution

Soooo. I'm gonna stick to collecting seeds and taking cuttings. Still get 100's of plants from one tomato seed just by letting it fruit and produce seeds. Or whatever plant you're growing. This seems....... Have fun I guess! 💜 happy growing 💜

I have a question for you. Do you know if the chemicals involved stay in the plant and can cause long term damage?? I would like to try this on vegetable/fruit plants, but I'm concerned if those chemicals involved stay in the plant, and even into the fruit??? Or do they dissipate after some time. I would assume the plant actually makes use of the stuff, and then grows healthy enough that the chemicals don't exist in it.... but just curious. I appreciate any response.

I'm doing classic gardening and it does feel caveman like in comparison to TC. What would you say would be a good application for the technique you ahowed here? I'm thinking about expensive seeds, but I'm not sure if TC would come out ahead for garden plants.
